The Blue Planet Ensemble, is part of the international network of studios of Theatre of All Possibilities.

Theatre and art are a part of Heraclitus’s life, where ‘ensemble’ and ‘crew’ are interchangeable concepts. The crew develops an idea within a given time limit– ‘the show must go on.’

Dance and song are key in many cultures. The Heraclitus performs in every port, and even anchored in the midst of island cultures.

On the 1981 Amazon expedition, the crew would perform a dance drama with music, as did their village hosts. Performances overcome language barriers and create the rapport necessary for reciprocal exchange. In the case of the Amazon, the sharing was of ethnobotanical knowledge.
